It seems that Treyarch, the developers, have tried to focus on a more developed backstory and character storyline than actual gameplay. That may not sit well with gamers who want a full blown world war experience.

Deadlight Review (PC, Xbox 360)
The whole game centers on Randall Wayne, one of few survivors of a virus that reanimates the dead. The story is set in Seattle in the summer of 1986.
Lucius (PC) Review
Lucius is a new horror adventure/puzzle game that is a little different. Instead of a typical survival horror scenario, you play the role of the antihero, a 7-year old boy who happens to have been born on June 6, 1966 (6/6/66).
F.E.A.R. 3 Review
Supernatural horror fans are in for one frantic thrill ride with the release of F.E.A.R. 3 from Warner Bros. interactive. The game returns the original games protagonist the Point Man to the series as his absence was severely missed in the previous game. The game takes place approximately 9 months after the events of F.E.A.R [...]
Brink Info from Richard Ham
If the gaming industry had something like IMDB, you would see Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, Fable 2, The Sims and the Syphon Filter, just to name a few, under Richard Ham’s bio. Later this year, Richard will add creative director of Brink, a new first person shooter being developed by Splash Damage [...]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Review

Obscure: The Aftermath (PSP) Review
I don’t believe there are enough survival horror games. Resident Evil rocked for a while, then they decided to focus on insane hillbillies instead of what they were good at… zombies. The original Xbox hailed tons of awesome horror games, which made it my favorite console to play when it was popular. Cold Fear, Doom [...]

Starcraft 2 Hands-On
Fresh off Blizzcon, Starcraft II was available for a 20 minute play-through at PAX. After years we finally have a chance to play a sequel to the beloved real time strategy released back in 1998. Red Dead Redemption First Look
OCmodshop was first in line to get a glimpse of Red Dead Redemption; the sequel to 2005’s critically mixed Red Dead Revolver. Keep in mind, Rockstar was very tight about security breaches. No pictures could be taken, videos recorded etc. So we have only what we saw. The game takes place around 1910 in the [...]
