Intro & Basics

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is the tenth game in the Metroid series and is the third (and final) installment in the Metroid Prime trilogy (exclusing the spin-off titles).  The game takes place six months after the events in the second installment, Echoes.  The new title follows bounty hunter Samus Aran as she assist the Galactic Federation in their fight against the Space Pirates, despite being slowly corrupted by mutagenic Phazon. 

Here are a few general tips and tricks that will help you through the game.  Not only will they help you stay alive longer, but you'll find hidden items, upgrades and Easter Eggs. 

  1. Scan everything. Not only do you get a higher completion percentage, but you can find enemy weaknesses, missile expansions, and health tanks.  This is also helpful for bosses, as the logbook will reveal more about the creature.
  2. Use your missiles. You'll eventually have so many of them that it's pointless to horde them.
  3. Use the advanced controls.  The Wii's nunchuck and remote make Samus much moThe point of the Wii is to change the  gaming experience, and the advanced controls work the best.  There is  not much point to using any of the other control schemes.

Metroid Prime 3 Nunchuck Controls

A

Shoot (and place boshoot and place bombs in morph ball form)

B

Jump and Boost in Morph Ball form.  You can jump once in mid-air, and 5 more times once you get the Screw Attack. 

D-pad Down

Fires a missile.  Hold this down to charge up the Seeker Missile.  Use this in combination with the Wii remote to select a visor.

move around.  Also used for some grapple beam upgrades.
