Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is the heavily anticipated follow-up to one of the most successful shooters on a next-gen console. Does it follow in its predecessors footsteps? Yes, and in some ways, delivers even more….

Vegas 2 takes place before, during, and after the events in Vegas 1. You begin your game five years before the events in the previous games, and then fast-forward to the present. Vegas 2 has a new protagonist: Bishop, and continues to take place in Sin City, although offering more daytime and outdoor missions. There are a few other new features to the game as well…

When you pick up the game for the first time or start a new game, you are prompted to take part in what’s called the “Persistent Elite Creation” system. Essentially, you can customize your character to make him stand out from all the rest. This may sound like a big deal, but there are only around ten face types, and Oooooo you can add camouflage paint to their faces, and…facial hair! Woot! I guess there are still a lot of combinations that you can create, but it bothers me that it’s really only the facial shape and “accessories” that can be customized. Too bad these features can’t be unlocked…
