Nintendo MBA: Gaming Success

Nintendo rescued the video game industry.  In the 1980s there was the North American video game crash.  Video game industry revenues plummeted 97%, from 3.2 billion in 1983 to only 100 million in 1985.  That’s when Nintendo released the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and video games became cool again.

In 1988 Nintendo made $1.5 billion, fifteen times the industry revenue from three years before.
