SteelSeries Introduces the 7G Professional Gaming Keyboard Wednesday, May 07, 2008
The SteelSeries 7G keyboard sets a new industry standard for gaming keyboards by allowing users to perform at new levels with advanced key combinations. Utilizing a powerful PS/2 buffer-system created specifically for gaming, the SteelSeries 7G keyboard eliminates “anti-ghosting" by supporting as many simultaneous key press commands as there are keys on the keyboard. What this does, for example, is allow users in a first person shooter game to walk, crouch, aim, fire and check the scoreboard simultaneously. Traditional keyboards do not allow this much functionality all at once.

But, you want a little more detail, perhaps. Fine, I’ll provide it. Warning: don’t expect me to benchmark this machine. I’ll leave that to the countless others who have already done it. I’m a practical guy. I USE the machine to get work done and it is from that perspective that I review it now."

Skullcandy Pipe iPod & iPhone Speaker Dock Review i4u :: Friday, May 02, 2008
"The Skullcandy Pipe is a small speaker system that can charge your iPod and play your music at the same time.
Visually the Skullcandy Pipe is tiny and when I took it out of the box I wondered how something so small would produce good sound. As soon as I popped my iPhone into the Pipe those skepticisms went away. The sound that comes from the tiny speakers and small dimensions is very impressive."
Vizo Mini Ninja Notebook Cooler OCC :: Friday, May 02, 2008
"The Vizo Mini Ninja is a small and portable way to cool your laptop, which is a haven for heat. While the benefits that the Vizo Mini Ninja provide aren't as varied as some other coolers, it does do its primary job well. In my testing, it actually helped reduce the CPU and GPU load temperatures further than any of the other laptop coolers I have tested. Not just 1 degree Celsius but by 3 on the CPU and 2 on the GPU. A pretty strong cooling performance."
LapLogic Aerogel Extreme LapDesk Review i4u :: Friday, May 02, 2008
"Today we are taking a look at a pair of notebook desks from LapLogic. Both the Aerogel Extreme and the Aerogel Extreme Wide have the same features and do a great job of keeping the heat from your notebook from bothering you.
Both versions of the LapDesk are ridged and the Aerogel insulation works very well. I used the LapDesk’s with several notebooks for longer than would normally be comfortable without any issues. I even used a Gateway gaming notebook in my lap for a long time and heat was not an issue. I felt none of the heat form the notebooks through the LapDesk’s."

USB 2.0 Extension Cable to Cat5e or Cat6 Extender Adapter Dragonsteel Mods :: Thursday, May 01, 2008
" As a computer geek, there have been times, where I needed a long run of USB cable. However, most standard USB cables measure from four to eight feet in length. What if you needed a longer stretch of USB cable? Well, the folks at USBFever have the perfect solution for this dilemma. If you have a spare Cat5e or Cat6 cable lying around, then the USB 2.0 Extension Cable to Cat5e or Cat6 Extender Adapter is the solution to your USB connection problems. This device allows you to create a USB extension cable essentially limited only by the length of the Cat5e or Cat6 cable used. The maximum length is 150 feet, but seriously, if you need to hook up a USB device a 150 feet away, maybe you should not be using that type of device."
Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 & QuickCam Pro for Notebooks Hardware Logic :: Thursday, May 01, 2008
"Webcams are continually evolving. Those of you that claim to be
'old-school' remember well the blurry and pixelated pictures that used
to stream from one webcam to another. My how times have changed. With
ISPs stepping up to the plate with increased bandwidth, both upload and
download, users need not make so many concessions with video quality
(we're talking to you, YouTube!). Computer enthusiasts are calling out
for clear and crisp video recordings for their newly built rigs, and
companies like Logitech are trying to answer that call."

Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 7000 Review Everything USB :: Thursday, May 01, 2008
Although the reliance on a non-rechargeable alkaline battery to power the keyboard is a little troubling, and the keyboard's floating keys can be difficult to use, overall the keyboard and mouse that make up the Wireless Laser Desktop 7000 are pleasant to look at, easy to program, and best of all, easy to use. For these reasons, and despite its minor flaws, I'm happy to give it my full recommendation.
