I Fight Dragons: New Nerd Anthem
Being a gaming and hardware journalist has given me opportunities that I wouldn’t otherwise have, and introduced me to things that I may not have been exposed to.
Like when the Guitar Hero franchise came out, I quickly became a fan of Freezepop and devoured all of their albums.
While I was on the Nintendo Video channel the other day, I watched a video from a relatively new chiptunes band named “I Fight Dragons”. The new video was called “Save World, Get Girl”, and is a really fun watch. Unfortunately the video can only be seen on Nintendo Video, and I haven’t found it on the web anywhere else yet.
Anyway, here’s the catchy track:
Their music has a pop rock feel to it, and they heavily use classic 8-bit gaming instruments in their music, and cover nerd topics that any fan of Parry Gripp, Nerf Herder, or The Aquabats will relate to.
The headline of this blog post is the result of me not knowing about this great band, even though they’ve been out for a few years and have released two albums. If you like the music in the sample posted here, then go buy their album now.
If you watched the 3d video and want to see the making-of video, then watch it below:
