GUI
GUI (pronounced like “gooey”) is an acronym for Graphical User Interface. It is a human-computer interface (a way for humans to interact with computers) that utilizes the visual concepts of windows, icons, and menus and is manipulated by a pointing device or cursor. Typically these pointing devices are driven by a mouse, trackball, or touchpad, but the cursor can be replaced by using a touchscreen.
GUI is a sharp contrast to a command line interface, which uses only text and can only be used with a keyboard.
