A Workstation is a type of stand-alone computer for powerful applications such as publishing, software development, etc. Workstations typically have a large, high-resolution graphics screen, large RAM, built-in network interface, and a graphical processor in addition to normal CPU. The most common operating systems for workstations are LINUX, UNIX and Windows.
