Galaya Clear Fan Review

Introduction

We have all seen fans before, the plain old black housing with nothing special on it, and those are all well and good. There is a better solution for your cooling needs however! Case-Mod sent over one of their new fans which has a totally clear housing and blades with blue LEDs in the middle of it. This particular fan has blue LEDs in the middle of it and should be pretty impressive, lets see what these things can do.

The fan is made by Galaxy and comes in nice packaging, its also ISO 9001 certified so you know it will work with any computer the back of the box lets you know all the specs for the fan.

The package contains the fan which has a 3 pin connector on it, a 3-4 pin adapter, 4 screws in a little bag, and a fan grill which is attached by another 4 screws.

I will be installing this fan to the case that I used for my case painting guide which is also blue so it should look good with the fan. Before I actually install the fan to the computer I went ahead and plugged it in and powered it up to see what it would look like. There are 2 3mm bright blue LEDs in the middle of the fan which stay on and light everything up. It was a little hard to get good pictures because my camera doesn’t like to pick up light.

Not only am I going to install this fan I am going to install it using the ZXMods fan grill and riser kit that I just reviewed so that I can take advantage of everything! Not only is the glowing LED fan really cool looking but working with the riser kit and laser cut fan grill it looks even better.

Conclusion

Well I thought it would be kinda lame and boring to review a case fan by itself but this is no ordinary case fan. If you are tired of plain old black fans like I am you will love this clear case fan, the blue LEDs are very cool looking as well. If you have a plexiglass case this will work out even better for you.

I was very surprised to see that this case fan which includes the fan, a 3-4 pin adapter, a fan grill and 8 screws is only $3.75 which is cheaper than a lot of the plan fans. I would head over right now and buy a bunch before they are all gone at such a low price. Overall I am going to give this clear fan with LEDs a 9/10 and award it the OCmodshop Seal of Approval. I would like to thank Case-Mod for sending this fan over for review, head on over and get some.
