FIC KT-748 Motherboard
First International Computer (FIC) sent over a budget-oriented motherboard based on the SiS 748 chipset for Athlon XP CPUs. It supports all Socket A chips, up to and including the Barton 3200+. It is aimed at the budget-builder market, a spot that has been dominated for the last few years by the ECS K7S5A, which sold very well and provided a good value for the price. The FIC board, has many of the same features, and is aimed for the same market. However, it has many features over the ECS board, such as support for PC3200 DDR RAM, AGP8x support, optional 5.1 onboard audio, up to 400MHz FSB, and USB 2.0.
As you can see, this board has pretty standard features. As it is marketed as a budget board, it lacks things like Serial-ATA and hardware RAID, but those are things that people looking for a budget board are probably not concerned about. Below is a complete list of specifications from FIC’s website.
