Introduction

Although PCI-Express has hit the market it has not taken over AGP, at least in my opinion. Because of that there is still plenty of room for companies to fight for the best AGP card on the market. Nvidia and ATi are always racing to be the first on the market with the fastest and best video card. There has been such a huge improvement in technology over the past year and today video cards are faster than we ever imagined. Today we look at ATi's Radeon X800 Pro.

There are four models of X800 in this line of video cards, the Pro, XL, XT, and XT Platinum. Below is a table showing the core and memory clock rate for comparison. The top of the line XT Platinum has memory that runs 125MHz faster than the Pro and a core that is 45MHz faster. In terms of overclocking the 520MHz should be possible to obtain with the Pro but a 125MHz overclock would take some aftermarket cooling I would guess and possibly a voltage mod. Below the comparison table are the specifications for this video card.
