I saw a definitive improvement in my accuracy when aiming, and it certainly felt like I had more control over my movements. Having the extra height, though it seems minimal, adds a mountain of control to the gaming experience.

Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation Q&A
What I can tell you about Aveline is that she is of mixed heritage – her father is French and her mother African. She is born of a form of temporary marriage called plaçage, where wealthy young men would typically take an African, Chinese or Native American women for a bride before they later found a more “acceptable” French bride.

If you play first person shooters on the Xbox 360, then you certainly have wished for a way to get an edge on your game. Microsoft’s original Xbox 360 controller is one of the best gamepads in the history of consoles, but some people still wish for some customization. Some gamers prefer to switch out [...]
Hyperkin PS3 Text Link Remote Review
Despite its slow start in the console war, the PS3 has come into its own of late, as it is a very strong multimedia powerhouse in addition to a great gaming machine. What the commercials say really is true: The PS3 just does about everything. My PS3 is practically a dedicated multimedia PC. It streams [...]
Peregrine USB Gaming Glove Controller
We have seen a host of funky contraptions for PC gamers. We have seen force-feedback flak jackets, custom keyboards, gyroscopic 3d joysticks and 3d glasses. Never before have I encountered a gaming gadget like the Peregrine USB glove. That’s right… a USB glove. It’s a new way to control PC games that you wear on [...]
Turtle Beach EarForce p21 Headphones
There was no shortage of gaming headphone vendors at PAX 09. Not only were Astro, Dolby and Tritton there, but Turtle Beach was showing off some of their headsets designed for gamers. The one PC headset they had was the EarForce p21. This headset offers high fidelity and is incredibly lightweight for an “around the [...]

BGRMods was at PAX 09, and was showing off their Intensafire mod. This product is essentially a pre-printed circuit board that is installed into any wireless Xbox 360 controller to give it enhanced fire abilities. Unlike other modding products, the Intensafire was designed to be installed quickly without any soldering. Coy Christmas (yes that’s his real name) [...]
Datel Wildfire Controller for PS3
Third-party controllers are like a box of chocolates: you never know what you’re gonna get. Some are awesome, some are passable, and some are a total waste of money. Datel’s PS3 Wildfire ranks between passable and awesome, depending on whether you find its features useful and/or if you like having a ton of extra AA [...]
Evercool Defender Turbo Cooling Fan for PS3
Sony’s Playstation 3 is well known for being loud and hot. Unfortunately, those are not qualities that most people look for in electronics, especially when it comes to gaming systems. One of the most highly recommended accessories for the PS3 or Xbox 360 are cooling fans, and Evercool has produced the Defender Turbo Cooling Fan [...]
Datel Edge Nunchuk Controller
Third-party manufacturers sure do like to cash in on game systems. There are plenty of manufacturers, the most notable one being Nyko, but a new British company has been churning out new products that have begun to turn some heads. Datel’s products stand out from the crowd because they actually don’t suck, and are reasonably [...]
Saitek Cyborg Force Rumble PC Gamepad Review
What is this nonsense? A month ago I publish an article about how much I suck at using PC Gamepads, and I end up having to review a gamepad? I must have angered the gods somehow, because now I have to not only write about my own personal Kryptonite, I also have to touch it. [...]
Nyko Charge Station for Wii
Most other game manufacturers have discovered that rechargable controllers is the way to go. The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 have rechargable gamepads. Even Nintendo’s own DS has a built-in rechargable battery. With everyone getting on the “green” bandwagon, it doesn’t make sense to suck up a set of AA batteries every 15-20 hours. Nyko is [...]
Nyko Wing Controller for Wii Review
We all have fond memories of the classic video games of yesteryear. Maybe the Holiday Season makes me a little more nostalgic over the times when my chubby face was either lit by the Christmas tree or phosphorous images of Mario on TV. Either way, many people have been downloading classic Nintendo games over the [...]
Eagle Neptor Wii Shotgun Review
The Nintendo Wii has resurrected the old ‘light gun’ gameplay of yesteryear. The formula has worked so well that several companies (including Nintendo) have unleashed specialized gun grips for the Wii controllers. Some of these controllers are better than others, depending on the features of the game, but gun grips do increase the fun in [...]
Nyko Charge Base 2 for Playstation 3
Not many people know this, but the Playstation 3 is probably one of the best consoles ever made. Not only is it the most powerful console ever devised, but it can function as a full-blown media appliance for your home theater system. The console has many features that other consoles make you pay extra for: [...]
Xbox 360 Controller for Windows
I’ve been looking for the perfect gamepad ever since I had a PC, which was way before the original Doom debuted. Back then, the Super Nintendo presented its revolutionary controller, and many companies like Gravis tried to create knock-off solutions for the PC gamer. They were quite innovative at the time and had several improvements [...]
Saitek Aviator (AV8R) Flight Stick
Most PC gamers play with a keyboard and mouse, frankly because most PC gamers are either casual gamers or are playing First-Person-Shooters at their local LAN party. But there are times when you need a custom controller for a particular type of game. For PC gamers, an Xbox 360 controller works just great (read our [...]
