I read a forum on another site that addressed this, and I thought it would be interesting to see what OCMS members think:
We gamers are usually stereotyped as being couch potatoes and time wasters. We hardly get anything accomplished except lazing around and accruing Xbox Live gamer points. We’re wannabe’s and we have no relationships because we can’t commit to relationships. At least that’s what I’ve read….
So let’s dispel the rumor. What else do we gamer’s do?
I’ll go first: I’m applying for nursing school in March, I work full time, teach 15 people a week how to play the piano, ride motorcycles and love learning about and driving cars, cook, and read times a bajillion. I love FPS, RPG, rhythm, and Action/Adventure games. Sure I’m still nerdy, but I ain’t no traditional gamer….
